Mary Hester Robinson (1832-1904) was born Mary Hester Orme, daughter of Reverend E.H. Orme. She married George Robinson (1828-1892) in 1860. They had six children: Henrietta Gertrude (1861-1937), Frances Mary (1862-1915), Alice Emily (1863-1939), Lucy Winifred (1865-1952), Lilian Susanna (1866-1942), and George Hunter (1868-1957). The family name was changed to Garnett-Orme in the 1880s, with an armorial crest being granted as well. The Garnett-Ormes lived at Tarn House, in Skipton.
