Text continues: "The lecturer will combine and give the pith of two lectures, delivered on perspective and the machinery of art; design, composition, colouring, light shadow, and effect, &c., also the materials used. E.V.R. is the artist and painter of that celebrated set of paintings, "The progress of intemperance," which were seen at the exhibition of the Institute. Members and two ladies, free; non-members, 1s. each. Each lecture to commence at eight o'clock. R. Barnby, R. Webb, hon. secretaries."
