Original paper-leaf fan with lithograph illustrations of views and diagrams, on both sides, depicting Albert Smith's ascent of Mont Blanc. It was sold at the Egyptian Hall during the course of his popular entertainment "The Ascent of Mont Blanc". The show lasted for over 2000 performances and the success of the merchandising operation spread the popularity of mountaineering.
