Armorial bookplates of Richard Towneley of Towneley (1702), Lord Amherst of Hackney, and C.W. Dyson Perrins. Also at front is the ownership inscription of Falconer Madan, bibliographer of early Oxford books, stating that he purchased the book at the Towneley sale (June 1883). A bibliographical note by Madan is tipped in and his stamp occurs on the verso of leaf 2. The copy was sold in the Amherst sale of 24 March 1909 and the Dyson Perrins sale of 9 June 1947.
