Manuscript notebook, fair copy, of accounting exercises copied by R. Clément, whose name is inscribed on the front cover. The volume includes lessons on the rule of three, inverse proportion, simple interest, commission, purchase of stocks, "brokage," compound interest, rebate or discounts, barter, profit & loss, and fellowship without time. One example bears the date 1797, and the paper is watermarked 1796.
