Notes:
Three framed cut-paper designs by an unidentified artist, probably from the early 19th century. Two of the works depict cornucopias, from which flow assortments of flowers. These two designs are cut from cream-colored paper, and are backed with black cloth (perhaps silk). Both cornucopias measure about 10 x 8 cm and are housed in identical ebonized wood frames, oval in shape (17 x 14 cm).The third design depicts a country church, surrounded by several trees, with small silhouettes of several people and swans. The main body of the picture is pierced by numerous pin-pricks, giving it texture. The design is cut from white paper, set against a paper board backing (not contemporary). It measure 8.5 x 10.5 cm and is housed within a gilt wood frame, oval in shape (15 x 17.5 cm).
