Lettered lower center: "Here lyeth buryed the body of Iohn Ashcombe of Lyfford gent: | who had two wives, by the first he had no Issue; the second | wife was Margerye Welsborne, one of the daughters of Oliver | Welsborne of this parishe Esqr: by whom he had ten sonnes and | four daughters; wch Margerye was here buryed the 26 day of Iune A | Dni 1591 & the sayd Iohn Ayshcombe dyed ye 7th day of Sept. Ao 1592"
