This mosque is similar in appearance to one in Muttra, in the northwest of India, which Daniell recorded in Oriental Scenery (1795-1807). Published by Thomas and his nephew William, the enormous graphic project Oriental Scenery consisted of forty-four aquatints issued as a series for sale.
