Notes:
The journal records Pulleine's travels in Belgium, Germany, and Switzerland. The pocket in the inner front board contains his passport, visa, hotel bills and some other receipts with a carte-de-visite for the Hotel du Faucon, Berne. On Sept. 10th, he got his passport and visa and left England on the 12th with friends by the Soho Steamer from Tower Stairs for Antwerp. From Antwerp they travel to Brussels, Liege, Cologne, Coblenz, Frankfort, Manheim, the Rhine, Interlaken, Geneva & Berne.
