- The plates in v. 1-3 consist of lithographs and engravings by John Richard Jobbins, Henry Adlard, Robert Charles Bell, and George Edward Madeley.
The plates in v. [4] are comprised of 66 mounted salt prints (made with with the calotype process) by Nicolaas Henneman, and consist of reproductions of art works and title-pages. [ix]-xii), divisional title, and [62] leaves of plates.
