BEIN 1973 Folio 32: Maps are hand colored are dated 1799-1807; printed nubmber labels on verso of maps. Printed list of contents mounted on inside front cover. "List of subscribers to Cary's Universal atlas" tipped in at end. Bookplate: William Lyon, New Haven, Conn. no. [in manuscript] 1731.
BEIN 1982 Folio 9: Karpinski 4855. Maps are hand colored are dated 1799-1807. Copy matches description in National Maritime Museum Library Catalog, except that the map of Portugal is dated 1801. Printed list of contents is mounted on verso of first fly-leaf. Subscriber's list misbound to begin with "D" names. Title pages varies from that in the Franklin Collection. Bookplate of Thorne Collection of Cartogaphy and Geography.
