Notes:
A panorama of Madras, by William Daniell and F.T. Parris, was exhibited in the temporary rotunda of Coromandel Place, London, from 1830 to 1832. The present print is presumably derived from the work of Daniell and Parris. That work was apparently based on sketches made by Augustus Earle, during Earle's travels in India in 1830. See: Pope, Charles. The merchant, ship-owner and ship-master's Import and Export Guide ... 1831, p. 859.
BAC: British Art Center copy on contemporary wooden spool, and housed within contemporary decorated paper tube.
