- Notes:
- Trade catalog, consisting of 69 etched designs on 36 leaves, depicting over 700 Coade stone works produced by Coade's Artificial Stone Manufactory. The stone designs were likely the work of Eleanor Coade and John Bacon.
Plates are variously dated from 1777 to 1779. Kelly suggests a publication date of not before 1784.
Title from engraved trade card affixed to cover. The trade card is engraved by P. Wray, after Charles Reuben Ryley.
All plates are unsigned.
Published for private circulation, possibly under the superintendence of John Bacon. Cf. Kelly, Mrs. Coade's stone; Universal catalogue of books on art.
Many of the items here depicted are listed, with dimensions and prices, in: A descriptive catalogue of Coade's artificial stone manufactory at King's Arms Stairs, Narrow-wall Lambeth. London, 1784 (ESTC T31712; Harris 137).
