The inserted material includes a two-line note in the hand of Charles Dickens; two letters from Richard Bentley (publisher); original bill for the artwork illustrating the cover of the Miscellany; and two additional letters concerning the Miscellany. There are also letters from contributors to the first number; an original manuscript of P. Prout; two manuscript tickets to a balloon ascension; letter from R.H.
