Includes bibliographical references.
Isaac Julien's multiscreen installation Lina Bo Bardi--A Marvellous Entanglement is a poetic exploration of the life, work, and legacy of the Italian-born Brazilian architect Lina Bo Bardi (1914-1992). The installation reflects Bo Bardi's belief that "time is not linear, it is a marvellous entanglement." This book combines elements of Julien's video installation, related photographs, and archival materials, offering deeper insights into Bo Bardi's influence. It includes an essay by Giuliana Bruno, a behind-the-scenes account by Mark Nash, and a conversation between Julien and members of the Brazilian art collective Araká, Diego Araúja and Laís Machado. - Subject Terms:
