The album include love poems, copied in manuscript, alongside watercolor illustrations on related subjects, by an anonymous compiler. The verse is copied from published works by varied authors, including John Wilkes, Thomas Hood, Johannes Secundus, Byron, Winthrop Mackworth Praed, and Thomas Moore.
