The album compiles varied visual media, primarily prints (intaglio and relief), drawings, embossed papers, and several albumen prints, all generally unsigned. Subject matter includes topographical views, genre scenes, and reproductions of works of art. The compiler may be Mary Celia Willingale, whose autograph appears on a slip of paper inserted near the end of the volume (dated September 12th, 1853).
