Menu printed on silk, with a blue velvet backing and a metallic thread fringe border, for a banquet held in the honor of Edward Derby. Derby gave his last major public speech at the banquet, largely regarding the Reform Act of 1867. The dinner was attended by 800 local notables with an additional 1,200 sitting in the gallery looking on. The menu includes a selection of wine on the side, as well as sections for "poissons," "entré́es froides," "grosses piè̀ces," "rôts," "entremets sucrés," and "dessert."
