The author's third visit to Louisiana, then a Spanish colony, in 1770-1771. His observations written during his earlier residences in the country, 1751-1757 and 1757-1762, are given in his "Nouveaux voyages aux Indes Occidentales". 1768.
With a preliminary half-t.p.
The first plate is an engraved frontispiece by Charles François Le Tellier after Gabriel Jacques de St. Aubin; the remaining plates are engraved by Jean-Baptiste-Marie Louvion after St. Aubin.
Signatures: a⁸ A-2A⁸ 2B⁴.
Head-piece of dedication is engraved coat of arms. Also some woodcut head- and tail-pieces.
Errata at foot of leaf a5v.
Includes bibliographical footnotes.
