- A catalogue of the very choice and valuable musical library : containing (among other curious articles) the complete works of Luca Marenzio, Orlando Di Lasso, Moley, Weelker, Wilbye, Bennett, Purcell, and other eminent composers of the 16th and 17th centuries : a very curious MS. copy of Marcello's Psalms, in 32 cases : Steffani's Duets, 4 vols : a Dixit Dominus by Pergolesi, very scace : the celebrated Masters of Habemann, and Te Deum by Uria : together with the choice and favourite works of Palestrina, Stradella, Carissimi, Bernabel, Steffani, Colonna, Bononcini, Scarlatti, Leo, Caldara, Bigaglia, Fiocco, Bassani, &c. &c. : and a large collection of Italian madrigals, by Croce, Archadelt, Pevernage, Waelrant, Phillips, and other esteemed authors : the whole in fine preservation, obtained and purchased with great judgment and indefatigable pains, at a considerate expence during a long course of years, by the late Dr. Bever : being one of the finest collections ever offered to public sale : which, (by order of the administratrix of Mr. John Hindle, Deceased,) will be sold by auction by Mr. White, at his rooms, Storey's Gate, Great George Street, Westminster, on Thursday, June the 7th, 1798, and following day, at twelve o'clock : at the same time will be sold his fine-toned Grand Piano-Forte, by Frecker, a Violoncello, printed books and prints : the library may be viewed on Tuesday the 5th and Wednesday the 6th of June, when catalogues may be had : and of Mr. Birchall, Bond Street.
