BAC: British Art Center copy bound in contemporary tan half-morocco and tan cloth. From the library of Captain Frederick Parr (1806-1871), 54th Regiment; some volumes bear the autograph of "Mrs. Parr." Extra-illustrated with engravings, lithographs, and 48 original drawings. The drawings are by various artists, probably chiefly officers of the Indian Army or Indian Civil Service. A manuscript note in volume 1 states that the vignette title pages to each volume are "hand etched [i.e. drawn] by late Capt. Fredk. Parr, 54th regt. ('Junglicus')." Accompanied by 71 unbound drawings, most of which were lithographed for publication in the Bengal Sporting Magazine.
