Issued in a signed and numbered edition of 16 copies, with four artist's proofs.
Artist book which uses images the artist made both before and after the death of her mother. It begins with photographs the pair made collaboratively on a disposable camera before it was discovered what was to come. Images created later -- made both of and for each other -- form the central part of the work, along with stitched, burned, destroyed and painted photographic self-portraits of the artist. The book includes a number of unique hand pin-pricked pages in each copy.
Mohawk Eggshell Ultrawhite paper; Indigo printing; hand pin-pricked tracing paper; hand pin-pricked cover made by the artist. Print: Hahnemuhle Photo Rag. Binding and box: Clare Bryan.
Accompanied by an inkjet print, enclosed within a translucent envelope on which is printed the artist's description of the work.

"This is my story of severance. It explores the relationship I had with my mother and my own inability to become one.
