"From 'The British Printer', 10 mo., 1888.--The tasteful business card by J.E. Southall is in rule panels. The colour scheme is neat and the presswork excellent."
"Also in 4 mo., 1890.--Several business circulars from J.E. Southall are capital specimens of effective display, with a strong leaning to the taking American style in design. The jobs are all in colours, while details of compositon and presswork are finished in workmanlike style. Mr. Southall's productions shows that he has a well-selected plant of modern material and knows how to use it to some advanage."

"Day books. Ledgers. Diaries and A/C books in stock."
