Relief shown pictorially.
View of cities and towns in England, Scotland, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Holstein, Sweden, Poland, Lithuania and Muscovy. Most of the plates are from those by Georg Hoefnagel in Braun's Civitates orbis terrarum. The maps are variously dated, some as early as 1582.
Date of publication from Koeman.
Engraved maps or illustrations are printed on the same leaves as letterpress text, with two exceptions: the added engraved title page, and a map of Krakow, folded at the inner margin (forming two leaves of plates). The remaining maps are printed across facing pages, with text printed on the opposite side of the sheet; or on the same pages as text.
Includes a sonnet in Latin to the cities of northern Europe by Marcus Zuerius Boxhorn, on page [4] at beginning.
Includes index, [1] page at end. The last page is blank.
