"A strand of dried birdweed, brown and yellow strands twisted around a moss covered branch. The withered misshapen clump of dock, looking like it contains all the colours in the universe. A dense pattern of ferns and bracken into which a scarlet leaf has fallen creating a striking contrast of colour. These are some of the simple and yet highly complex observations from nature that have informed the works in this book.
