BAC: British Art Center copy is one of four prints by Bonifacio added as extra illustration to Domenico Fontana's Della trasportatione dell'obelisco vaticano et delle fabriche di nostro signore papa Sisto V, 1604 (DT62.O2 F6 1604+). Bound between leaves 18 and 19.
Depicts the raising of the Obelisco Vaticano in Saint Peter's Square in Rome, together with a portrait of Fontana and a depiction of the Vatican Palace. Includes a full drawing of all the details of the capstans, windlasses and winches with their horses and laborers.
