A collection of views of London and Westminster published by Henry Overton, probably all between 1739 and 1753. The collection is almost certainly unique and represents the compiled output of multiple publications, the most significant being Prospects of the most remarkable places in and about the citty of London, a work first published by Overton between 1820 and 1830. The first 70 engravings in the present volume presumably come from Prospects--Adams records a copy at the Guildhall library containing 74 plates. - Subject Terms:
