"Moving head = jealousy. Moving tail = indifference. Moving head and tail = in love. Curling sides = fickle. Turns over = false. Motionless = tired. Curls up entirely = passionate."--Reverse of the envelope.
BAC: British Art Center has three copies.
"Fortune teller fish" made of thin red film. In a plastic envelope, with text giving instructions for interpreting the movements of the fish. Similar products date to at least the early 19th century, in the form of the "sensitive leaf" or "Chinese sensitive leaf."
