Notes:
Each piece (the whole plant, and each of the partials) is carefully trimmed around the outline of the plant parts. Pieces are affixed to the herbarium sheet with adhesive (applied underneath the pieces) and narrow adhesive strips (banded over stems and roots).
"A series of prints made from hand cut etchings which are attached to herbarium sheets to create paper specimens with screenprinted labels. Various sizes and papers, thread."--Artist's website.

BAC: British Art Center copy is no. 2 of 10. Screenprinted label completed in graphite: "Title/no. [Dandelion 2/10]. Location [Bonnyrigg]. Date [8th May 2009]. Collector [J. Hyslop]." Signed and dated (2010) by the artist on the reverse, in graphite.
The composition comprises a rendering of large uprooted dandelion plant, flanked by five partial plants (flower stem and head only). In the two partials to the right, the flower heads bear yellow florets; in the three to the left, the flowers have gone to seed. At top left, enclosed within a small folded sheet, are the etched images of four detached dandelion seeds.
