- Harriet Churchyard (1836-1926) studied at Ipswich School of Art in 1868, and from 1871 taught at Brook House Ladies Academy.

Bound in quarter red roan and marbled boards.
Each drawing is accompanied by humorous dialogue at bottom. Many depict conventional domestic interiors. The name of the artist is inscribed on the front pastedown. Inserted with the album is a smaller Churchyard item, comprising six pages, stitched, with sketches of horses and carriages, a knife grinder, and a butcher. This smaller volume bears no marks of authorship; the grinder sketch is captioned "Paid this rascal too much for knife grinding Dec. 2nd 1852." - Subject Terms:
