Fine rib-grain greyish-deep green cloth; pictorial stamping on front and back covers and spine, blind stamped on front and back covers and spine, stamped in gilt on front cover and spine, gold lettering on front and back covers, all edges gilt. In dark green morocco pull-off case; gold lettering on spine. The binding bears the binder's imprint of Westleys and Clark, London, whose label appears on the back paste-down endpaper. Half-title, frontispiece, pictorial title-page, title- page, 7 plates of hand-colored aquatint etchings, 43 wood-engravings in text, publisher's ads. Plates by Henry Alken. Spine height: 10 5/8 inches. Note: Green cloth edition exceedingly rare.
