2. A catalogue of the very valuable and entire collection of drawings and paintings in oil, of Sir Robert Ainslie, Bart. : the whole of which were executed by that ingenious artist, Mayer, for Sir Robert Ainslie, during his travels in the Levant, his residence at Constantinople, and his return from thence to England : of this extensive collection, a few drawings have been executed (by permission of the proprietor), but the greater part will be found particularly interesting, being views of celebrated spots and remains of antiquity, unnoticed by intelligent writers and picturesque tourists : together with the complete itinerary, in a series of views through the little frequented countries of Bulgaria and Wallachia, from Constantinople to the Austrian Frontiers : also, a few marbles : which will be sold by auction by Mr. Christie, at his Great Room, Pall Mall, on Friday, 10th March, 1809, and following day.

3. A catalogue of that magnificent and truly valuable collection of pictures, the productions of the great artists of the British school, known as the collection of the Shakspeare Gallery, formed under the spirited directions, and with unbounded expence, by those distinguished promoters of the fine arts, the Messrs. Boydell's : these justly-admired pictures, in which the poetry of our great bard has furnished occasion for a proud display of national talent, comprise many of the happiest efforts of such deceased artists as the immortal Sir Joshua Reynolds, Wright of Derby, Hodges, Romney, Hamilton, Wheatley, Kirk, Ramberg, and others, the rarity as well as the excellence of whose works, must insure them a distinguished place in the collection of the connoisseur : among the spirited performances of living genius, are the King Lear, by Mr. West, and various by Barry, Northcote, Opie, Tresham, Fuseli, Hoppner, Smirke, Stothard, Peters, Rigaud, Westall, Boydell, A. Kauffman : and that admirable set of cabinet pictures, the Seven ages by Mr. Smirke : basso relievos, by the Hon. Mrs. Damer : and the grand alto relievo, the Apotheosis of Shakspeare, by the late Thomas Banks, Esq. R.A. : many of the above pictures are of the cabinet size, and the remainder will be found worthy objects for the large saloons of the nobility and gentry, or the halls of incorporate bodies, or for exhibition in distant parts of the Kingdom.

4. 6. A catalogue of the very choice collection of modern pictures, which have constituted the very distinguished and universally admired gallery of that accomplished and truly spirited patron of the arts, the Rt. Hon. Lord de Tabley, deceased, at no. 24, Hill Street, Berkely Square : formed by his Lordship with the finest taste, and at the most liberal expense, with a view to displaying the perfection of the fine arts in this country, and the genius and talent of British artists : they comprise favourite and very popular specimens of Wilson, Gainsborough, Loutherbourg, Sir J.
