V. Velde : a grand historical composition of Perseus changing Phineus and his armed attendants into stone, by N. Poussin : a Holy Family by C. Dolce, in his sweetest manner : a grand interior by P. Panini : a large landscape and figures, one of the most brilliant chef-d'oeuvres of Gainsborough : and the celebrated Holy Family by Sir Joshua Reynolds, known by the engraving made from it by the late Mr. Sharpe : and superior productions of the following Masters : G. Romano, Bassano, Parmegiano, L. Carracci, Biscaino, Murillo, G. Poussin, Rubens, V. Der Neer, Rembrandt, Duart, Metzu, Bega, Schalken, Ruysdael, Wynants, Moucheron, Verboom, Swaneveldt, Ferg, Steenwyck, Fytm, Borgognone, Canaletti : which will be sold by auction by Mr. Christie at his Great Room on Friday, May the 8th, 1829, and following day, at one o'clock : may be viewed two days preceding, and catalogues had (at one shilling each) at Mr. Christie's office, King Street, St. James's Square.

Dec : distinguished for his genuine taste in the virtu : the valuable assemblage of pictures collected by him, during a long series of years a very considerable expence, presents a choice treat to the eye of the scientific collector : they comprise the works of Raphael, P. Del Vaga, J. Romano, Correggio, Schidone, Titian, P. Veronese, Schiavone, Tintoretto, Bassan, Carracci, Dominichino, Guido, Poussin, Murillo, Albano, E. Sarani, C. Maratti, Le Seur, Mengs : a variety of interesting portraits, of the literary fiends of the deceased, and other distinguished characters : the celebrated portrait of Nelly O'Bryan : a study for the portrait of Sir J. Reynolds, in the Florence gallery : and a fancy portrait of a boy, in Sir Joshua's happiest manner : which will be sold by auction, by Mr. Christie, on the premises, No. 28, Argyll Street, on Friday the. 4th of May, 1810 and following day, punctually at one o'clock.
