Catalogue of the genuine works & effects of that eminent artist, the late Thomas Heaphy, Esq. : comprising an extensive variety of highly interesting subjects in water colours & in oil : finished and unfinished drawings : numerous and exquisitely finished pencil and chalk studies of heads and characters from life : including a most important series of nearly one hundred and thirty of the heroes of Waterloo, highly finished portraits of the Duke of Wellington, and the principal officers engaged in the Peninsular War ... : amongst Mr. Heaphy's finished original works, ..., may be noticed The Fisherman's Frolic -- Relieving the Blind Beggar -- The Cheat Detected -- The Spell or Magic Pea -- The Village Doctress -- The Proposal, and Offer Accepted -- The Game of Put -- Going to, and Returning from the Fair -- The Italian Brigands -- and the splendid picture of the Duke of Wellington ... : also about six hundred choice impressions on India Paper, also the key plate and impressions : the whole of which, with a valuable lay figure, large porphyry slab and muller, prints, books of prints, portfolios, and other effects, will be sold by auction (by order of the executrix) by Mess. E. Foster and Son at the Gallery, 54, Pall Mall, on Wednesday, the 4th day of May 1836, and following day, at one o'clock precisely each day.
